Christie Cook is a comedy writer and sketch performer from Sydney, Australia. Her comedic stylings have been accurately described as edgy but sweet.Christie’s B.A was in Performance Studies and History at Sydney University followed by an M.A in Media. Additionally, she studied with Improv Australia, NIDA and The Second City.Her former life was as a high school teacher. During this time, she read and graded an infinite number of essays that have since become the stuff of recurring nightmares.Now living in Mexico with her husband and young son, she directs and writes for a local sketch comedy group —The Once Upon a Time in Mexico Players. Her other interests include drinking mojitos, mocking reality television and speaking Spanish, which she does poorly.
